Activities at Parley Place Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

I love being a friendly face for our residents. A day in their lives should be filled with the care they deserve and enriched with activities. We embrace each and every moment and make memories, I have many skills and a passion to provide our residents with the social interactions, lots of activities, smiles, laughter and fun.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Parley Place Care Home
Gingerbread House Day
We set to work creating our wonderful Gingerbread House with assistance from our Chef, all our sister homes will also be making their own versions and we are all in competition to see who has the best. We think ours looks fabulous.
Christmas Card Making
We have been making Christmas cards this week in our craft sessions, ready to give to the visitors we have in next week from the Nursery and schools.
Christmas Wreath Making
We have been busy making a beautiful wreath for our reception, there were lots of giggles along the way but the finished wreath is amazing.
Christmas Switch on
We were delighted to enjoy such a lively event for our Christmas Lights switch on and officially launch our First Christmas here at Parley Place. Our residents really enjoy talking with our community guests.
Scrabble Match
A favourite game in the home is Scrabble.
We love a good match to have some fun and get the brain working coming up with creative words to try and get the highest scores. There is definitely going to be a re-match soon.
Baking Cakes
We've been baking and the overall cake request was for lemon drizzle cakes. Iris had the perfect recipe so her and Brian set to it, the results were delicious- request has gone in for chocolate cake next week!
