Activities at Parley Place Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

I love being a friendly face for our residents. A day in their lives should be filled with the care they deserve and enriched with activities. We embrace each and every moment and make memories, I have many skills and a passion to provide our residents with the social interactions, lots of activities, smiles, laughter and fun.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

On the Water
What a wonderful day at sea!
We are so thankful to The Friends of Dolphin's who are made up of fabulous volunteers and made the day so special for our residents. They really enjoyed being out of the water and the kindness shown in showing us the maps and allowing us to be up front and steer the boat.
Caring Canines
We welcomed our new Caring Canine into Parley Place this week, Nelly was at home straight away meeting our residents for kisses and belly rubs. We look forward to her next visit.
Gardening for the chef
Our gardening club have been growing fruit, vegetables and herbs for our chef to use in the kitchen. We picked some lovely rhubarb for a crumble this week.
Garden Entertainment
We enjoyed a fabulous afternoon of singing and dancing in the garden courtesy of Mike Sidaway. The sun was shining, drinks flowing and music was perfect. It is so lovely to be out in the fresh air and celebrating life.
Cocktails on the Lawn
We enjoyed cocktails on the lawn on a glorious summer evening with everyone's favourite cocktail waiter, Brian.
Pimms Afternoon Tea
Thank you to everyone who came along and joined us at our Pimms on the Green Afternoon tea. We had a fabulous afternoon in the garden, the weather was glorious, the food amazing, drinks were flowing and we did see a plane or 2!
