Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Milkshakes from Local Farm

Moreton Hill residents enjoyed a real treat this week and we didn't have to go far. Stonehouse Milk has opened at Horsemarling Farm at the bottom of the lane as you drive up to Moreton Hill. We cannot rave enough about the delicilous milk and milkshakes and we love that this is so local. If you haven't visited next time you are heading up to us do and you will be as amazed as we all were at the milk vending machine and sustainability of the farm offering reusable bottles and no food miles. Who knew you could get blue milk! A very delicious blueberry flavour.

Celebrating St David's Day and Shrove Tuesday

1st March is always a positive day, it's St David's Day and for many it is seen as the first day of spring and then this year it was Shrove Tuesday as well! Thank you so much to Stuart, Damian and Clair our wonderful team in the kitchen yesterday. The traditional Welsh menu was delicious and to top it off they made Welsh cakes and pancakes. We then had great fun pancake tossing with a few interesting pancake destinations!

Vinnie the Chatterbox!

Vinnie the Moreton Hill cat is such a character and he joins in lots of conversations. A real chatter box, affectionate and with the most wonderful purr the residents love having him around as do the team.

Words of Love

Moreton Hill residents enjoyed Valentine's poetry today with Bill, Moira and Roger reading love poems. The words were beautiful and it was lovely to get together to share a love of poetry.
