Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Drive Around Arlingham

Moreton Hill residents had a lovely drive around Arlingham yesterday, the river is ever changing and with the winter light looked different again. It is always a pleasure to go out and about and everyone really enjoyed the trip.

Could it be Magic......

There couldn't be a better name for a product than the "Magic Table" it really is magic. The official name is Tovertafel which is Dutch for magic, originally from the Netherlands the tables increase both social and physical interactions as well as being great fun. Moreton Hill residents enjoyed the fishing game, famous place and autumn leaves.

Fergus Visits Moreton Hill

Jackie was looking after her neighbour's dog Fergus this weekend so she kindly brought Fergus in to meet the residents. Fergus is such an intelligent dog and was an absolute joy, loving all the fuss and a walk around the Moreton Hill grounds.

Busy Baskets

Moreton Hill's wonderful activity team have created busy baskets. These personalised baskets include craft items, a proverbs game (match the two halves), a puzzle photo of the resident and a chocolate treat. Everyone is really enjoying discovering what is in their basket and love the care and attention that has gone into creating their basket.

Benefits of Walking

There are so many benefits of getting outside and walking, we have had some beautiful clear days during January and have taken the opportunity to go outside when possible, the views from Moreton Hill are breathtaking.  It is lovely to see residents also having a laugh along the way.
