Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:
Hi, my name is Daney, and I am the General Manager here at Moreton Hill. Welcome to our website!
I am a registered general nurse with over 22 years of experience. I started working in management in 2016 and, prior to that, I had various positions in other residential, nursing and dementia care homes.
I heard about Barchester from one of my trustworthy friends. It was highly recommended to me as a great company to work for. I like to be part of a great team and be the instrument for making positive changes in care homes for both residents and staff.
As a young girl, I made the decision to leave my own country, which was my biggest challenge of my entire life, so I do understand the impact that big changes can have on people, such as moving into a care home.
I pride myself on my ability to listen, be compassionate and deliver person-centred care. I have achieved an NVQ Level 5 in Care & Leadership, and have previous experience in turning homes with low CQC ratings around.
I am a firm, fair and friendly person, who always likes to move forward. I am a strong believer in family and, in my spare time, my two boys keep me busy. I do enjoy travelling and baking as well. Before coming to this country, I worked on my parents' farm and helped them to run the family business.
Bessy has worked at Moreton Hill Care Centre since 2010. As Head of Unit, she ensures that residents are provided with a high standard of care.
My name is Michelle Fraser. I came to the UK in 2005, I come from Guyana (only English speaking country in South America). I have been a qualified nurse since 1986 and worked solely in the care environment working with residents with dementia and nursing needs. I enjoy working with the team at Moreton Hill.
I have been working here since January 2013. Prior to coming to Moreton Hill, I worked for many years in marketing and communications in London and Bristol. I have lived in Gloucestershire for 30 years and I am involved with many local community groups and organisations. Community engagement is an important part of the work I do here to help enrich the lives of our residents.
I am the Home Administrator and have been working for Barchester since March 2020. I have worked for many years in administration and accounts. I will be supporting Daney and the team in the day-to-day running of the home.
Flor has worked at Moreton Hill since 2000. Prior to arriving in the UK, she worked in A&E in the Philippines.
Darren has worked in the construction and maintenance industry for over 20 years. A certified plumber with a wealth of experience, he maintains Barchester’s high standards of safety and security, ensuring the home runs smoothly. He enjoys working at Moreton Hill because it gives great job satisfaction. Every day is different and he loves talking to the residents, finding out about their life histories.
Sue has worked at Moreton Hill since January 2013 and, along with, her team is responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and in-house laundry.
Moira is our newly appointed resident ambassador for Moreton Hill. Moira is a fantastic poet and enjoys the wide range of activities at Moreton Hill Care Centre.
