Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Moreton Hill Book Club Enjoy Sequal

Moreton Hill's book club thoroughly enjoyed Richard Osman's The Thursday Mirder Club, so we decided our next book would be Richard Osman's latest book The Man Who Died Twice and so far it is looking to be just as good. We are looking forward to reading further.....

Comic Relief Fun!

Moreton Hill staff and residents had a great fun day supporting Comic Relief Red Nose Day.  The team looked fantastic in their fancy dress - what great sports. Residents made Red Nose cakes to sell to raise funds for this wonderful cause. After such a busy morning many residents enjoyed sitting in the courtyard enjoying the sun and their cakes!

Spring Flower Arranging

Residents spent a relaxing morning flower arranging with seasonal spring flowers. The arrangements look beautiful with such vibrant colours on display around the home.

Exciting Six Nations Matches

Over the weekend a group of our gentleman residents and a few ladies enjoyed watching the Six Nations rugby. Beer was on offer but all opted for a nice cup of tea! The England Ireland game was particularly exciting with some great rugby and saw everyone fixed to the screen.

National Pie Week!

It is National Pie Week so we marked this British traditional dish with a group of residents by making an apple and cinnamon pie. We added pastry detailing and we are sure you will agree the end result looks so tasty; the residents were very much looking forward to enjoying this for supper.

Delicious Fruit Salad

Moreton Hill residents made the most beautiful fruit salad and we are sure you will now want to go and make one yourself! Nutrition and hydration is really important to for us all, but in older people this is critical to avoid infection and deliver nutrients. Fruit is perfect, not only is it delicious, there is a high water content and everyone enjoyed not only making it, but also eating it.
