Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Hello. I am Jackie, the Lead Activity Co-Ordinator at Moreton Hill. I have worked for Barchester for over 10 years. Now, together with my team and the staff at our beautiful home, our aim is to help all residents live life to the best they can by bringing meaningful and enriching activities into their lives.

Life at Moreton Hill Care Home
Crisp Winter Walks
Moreton Hill residents have been taking advantage of the crisp winter weather taking walks around our extensive grounds. There have been glorious blue skies, clear views and everyone is so enjoying this time outside, it is becoming a 2022 routine!
Walks with Hawks Return
Moreton Hill were delighted to welcome back Walks With Hawks this time with Oreo the barn owl, Havoc the Kestral and The Mighty Thor returned who is a burrowing owl. Thank you Clair who is so good with our residents, not only putting on a demonstration for a group, but also spending time with individual residents in their rooms. We look forward to welcoming Clair and her wonderful birds back again soon.
Top Games of 2021!
We started the year having great fun playing one of our favourties - balloon volley ball! It would be hard to choose between balloon volley ball and skittles for our favourtie game of 2021!
Christmas Panto Performance
There was a full house for our Christmas show "The Best of Christmas" performed by Tickled Pink Productions - residents really enjoyed the show it was great fun.
Happy Christmas Day!
Christmas Day really was fabulous at Moreton Hill, our own elf delivered gifts, there were family visits, pre dinner drinks followed by a traditional Christmas lunch with delicious food. A big thank you to all the team for everything that went into the preparations and for those who worked over Christmas weekend. There really were smiles all round.
Christmas Carol Service
We had a wonderful carol service. Moira, Daney, Roger and Wynn all did a reading and Marion sang a solo verse of Once on Royal David's City. It was lovely to see so many residents singing along to all the well known favourites. We followed the service with mulled wine and mince pies.
