Activities at Kenwyn Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Kenwyn Care Home

Digital Creations

Kenwyn in introducing more tech into residents' lives. We are now even creating digital drawings!

Garden Picnic

We spent some time in our beautiful garden. There was afternoon tea, sunshine and laughter.

Interior Design

The Resident’s here at Kenwyn Care Home have been adding to their home design this week. They have a trio of beautifully framed pieces of artwork now on display. Everyone really enjoyed the process, from painting to arranging and framing the artwork. Lots more masterpieces to come.

Saying goodbye.

Unfortunately this week we had to say goodbye to a much loved staff member who is retiring. She was a senior carer here at Kenwyn for 15 years. She will be dearly missed and we all wish her the best.

Summer Solstice edible art.

Summer solstice edible art.

Some of the residents decided that the artwork they choose to make for summer solstice this week was going to be edible. They created images on homemade biscuits and cakes inspired by the sun the moon and everything in between. Lots of fun for everyone and very tasty too.

A Drink on Us

Our local pub sent us some deliveries of soft drinks for our residents and staff here in the home, which lifted the spirts of all at Kenwyn. We are grateful to know that the community are thinking about us!
