Our aim is to ensure that all residents are happy and fulfilled throughout their stay at our nursing home, and that the welfare of each resident is at the forefront of what we do each day.

All of our delicious meals are prepared using fresh produce by our chefs, who ensure that individual nutritional requirements are met at every meal.

Our Team

The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.

Sue Monger

Acting General Manager

Hello, my name is Sue, and I am the Acting General Manager here at Kenwyn. Welcome to our website!

I started my career initially working locally as a care assistant for a residential home. I completed my general nurse training and then progressed to complete my mental health nurse training. Following a time on a rehabilitation ward, I progressed to work as a senior sister and I met some fantastic people who made a big impression on me

I secured a position at a home in Basingstoke, which stimulated my interest in supporting people with dementia, and the importance of the care that they receive. I remained with the company for 16 years and was promoted to Area Manager and later Training Manager. I attended David Sheard's course on dementia, which increased my passion for supporting people living with the condition.

In April 2013, I left and was appointed as manager of a private nursing home in Twyford, where I remained until May 2014.

Barchester has an excellent reputation as an employer and is often leading the way in new and exciting projects.

Jonathan Watson

Finance Administrator

I have worked at Kenwyn Care Home since 2015, and I feel privileged to be working in one of the largest Care Homes in Cornwall. This is my first role in the care sector and probably the most enjoyable and fulfilling position that I have had in my long working career.

I, together with the admin team, really enjoy the considerable daily interaction with residents and their relatives, representatives & friends, as well as providing the initial face of Kenwyn.

It is my responsibility to ensure the smooth and professional running of the finance and admin support services to allow the nursing and care staff to focus on providing high quality care to those we support. No two days are alike with regular new tasks and challenges enthusiastically undertaken, all for the benefit of the people living here.
