Kenwyn is a purpose built care home in Truro with beautiful gardens, set within a quiet area of this bustling market city in Cornwall. We pride ourselves on providing excellent nursing and residential care for elderly people, people living with disabilities and, for those living with dementia, and a homely environment within our Memory Lane Community. Our aim is to ensure that all residents are happy and fulfilled throughout their stay at our nursing home, and that the welfare of each resident is at the forefront of what we do each day.

Our person-centred approach allows individuals to make their own choices and maintain their independence. Residents are invited and encouraged to join in with our daily activities, which include quizzes, gentle exercise, word games, art, visiting entertainers and much more.

All of our delicious meals are prepared using fresh produce by our chefs, who ensure that individual nutritional requirements are met at every meal.

So – if you haven’t visited us before, or would like to visit again, please pop in for a cuppa and we will be delighted to show you around.

Care Home in Truro | Kenwyn

Ami Livesey

General Manager

Welcome to Kenwyn Care Home's website; my name is Ami and I am the General Manager here.

I began my nursing career in 2001 after obtaining my Registered Nurse Qualification in Greenwich, London.

I chose to work in the private care sector and, after spending several years gaining experience as a trained nurse, I joined Barchester's The Manor in 2006 as Deputy Manager. I then became the General Manager of The Manor in April 2013, bringing with me my NVQ Level 4 in Management qualification, as well as certificates in coaching and leadership.

Myself and the team here at Kenwyn will seek to ensure that each residents' care needs are met. We will also encourage and support them to retain as much independence as they desire through the provision of a stimulating and pleasant environment, in addition to a varied activities programme, where they are free to exercise their right of choice in regards to their lifestyle.
