Activities at Hethersett Hall Care Home

Activities, hobbies and interests make up the most important part of our days and who we are as people. We provide a varied activities programme that reflects the interests and capabilities of all the individuals we support. All of the group and individual activities are designed to not only mentally and physically stimulate the people we care for, but to enhance their life skills and feelings of purpose and self-worth. We achieve this through a constantly updated activities programme and one-to-one sessions with residents that are tailored to suit individuals needs. We also offer a range of outings in our mini-bus.

Caroline Evans

Activities Coordinator

Hi, I’m Caroline Evans and I’ve been at Hethersett Hall for 7 years now and been in the care sector for 13 years and believed it was time for a change in my career at Barchester.

I’m extremely motivated for my new role as activities coordinator. I hope I will bring joy and fun to everyone’s daily lives. I am a highly active and bubbly person. Looking after other people has always been my priority and I will do my best every day to make sure everyone is happy, safe and smiling.

I look forward to meeting you and hope you will all join in the events and activities that I will bring to Hethersett Hall.

Residents and staff enjoyed dressing up for Elf Day, and even got to meet some beautiful reindeer!

Hethersett's Christmas Market

We welcomed relatives, friends and members of the local community to join residents for a Christmas Market. Our home was full and the atmosphere was fantastic!

We had fifteen stalls in total, with a variety of different products, such as make-up, woollen crafts, paintings, cakes, sweets, toys, shoes and books. We had lots of happy visitors and, most importantly, happy residents!

Thank you to everyone who supported us at this very special Christmas event. We are looking forward to more events like this in the future!

Getting Ready for Christmas

The staff & residents of Hethersett Hall were very busy at the weekend decorating our beautiful home. Residents enjoyed reminiscing as we worked and it was really nice to share memories together.

We have lots of exciting events and activities coming up, and we hope to give residents a very special Christmas filled with lots of love and laughter.

Word Games

Word Games

Some residents got together earlier this week to play a game of Scrabble with a nice cup of tea. It was lovely to see them all engaging and laughing together. Perhaps this could be the start of a new club? Watch this space!

Pyjama Day

Pyjama Day

Staff had a comfy day in their Pyjamas to raise money for Children in Need. We also took part in the Duck Race Sweepstake, which was shown on the Children in Need Facebook page. We had prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. We all had lots of fun and raised money for a very good cause! A big thank you to everyone involved.

Sharing Stories

Sharing Stories

We had a lovely afternoon with two gentlemen from The Royal British Legion. They joined us for Remembrance Day and brought in lots of photos to show us. It was really nice for everyone to share stories about their lives and to hear others too!
