I started work at Hethersett Hall in March 2016 as a Care Assistant. After a short while, I had settled in well as part of the team and felt that I wanted to do more for and with the residents. I became aware of a vacancy in the activities team and applied as soon as I could. I got chosen for the role and was very happy, enthusiastic and focused on delivering the highest level of lifestyle improvements and activities to those we support. Soon after, I was promoted to the role of Deputy Manager.
I plan to build up our volunteer base by encouraging ties with the local community through events and trips. My aim is to have something for everybody; this could include anything, from trips out and music performances, to simple conversations and manicure sessions. I am constantly trying to think of new and creative ideas to ensure life at Hethersett Hall is lived to the fullest. Everyone at our home should feel like they are the most important person here.
