Geanina Tinca

Acting General Manager

Hi, my name is Geanina and I am the Acting General Manager here at Hethersett. Welcome to our website!

I qualified as a nurse in general medicine in 2016 and I started my career working with older people in 2010.

I find working with people living with dementia to be most rewarding and I am extremely proud of our team.

I believe in on a very 'hands-on' approach to running the home, as I feel that it is the best way to build relationships and get to know residents really well.

My door is always open to anyone and I look forward to welcoming you into our home.

Martin Keegan

Deputy Manager

I started work at Hethersett Hall in March 2016 as a Care Assistant. After a short while, I had settled in well as part of the team and felt that I wanted to do more for and with the residents. I became aware of a vacancy in the activities team and applied as soon as I could. I got chosen for the role and was very happy, enthusiastic and focused on delivering the highest level of lifestyle improvements and activities to those we support. Soon after, I was promoted to the role of Deputy Manager.

I plan to build up our volunteer base by encouraging ties with the local community through events and trips. My aim is to have something for everybody; this could include anything, from trips out and music performances, to simple conversations and manicure sessions. I am constantly trying to think of new and creative ideas to ensure life at Hethersett Hall is lived to the fullest. Everyone at our home should feel like they are the most important person here.

Abi Yallop

Unit Manager (Garden House)

Hello, my name is Abi and I’m the Unit Manager of our Garden House unit. I first started at Hethersett Hall in 2011 as a work placement from City College. After finishing college with a Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care, I became a full time Care Assistant and worked my way up to becoming a Unit Senior.

In 2016, I began work as a senior in a nursing home in Essex, which was a great opportunity for me to grow and learn. In 2017, I returned to Hethersett Hall, which was the right decision for me. I was accepted back as a Unit Manager, which was extremely exciting.

My team on Garden House are all enthusiastic and extremely passionate about the work that they do; we all work together like a close family. My main focus is to ensure that the highest standard of care is being delivered to each and every individual and that residents feel like they're living in a home away from home.

Ariana Flynn

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Ariana, and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Hethersett hall. I started here as an Activities Assistant whilst still at university.

In 2017, I graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art, which I hope to one day expand upon by achieving a master's degree in Art Therapy, specialising in people living with dementia.

In the later months of 2017, I got the opportunity to become the Activities Coordinator in the home, which I took.

I enjoy making the residents happy and creating a person-centred activities programme. But, most of all, I love the relationship I have with the residents, which I have built since first starting here, and look forward to coming into the home every day.

It's not work when you love what you do.
