Activities at Hethersett Hall Care Home
Activities, hobbies and interests make up the most important part of our days and who we are as people. We provide a varied activities programme that reflects the interests and capabilities of all the individuals we support. All of the group and individual activities are designed to not only mentally and physically stimulate the people we care for, but to enhance their life skills and feelings of purpose and self-worth. We achieve this through a constantly updated activities programme and one-to-one sessions with residents that are tailored to suit individuals needs. We also offer a range of outings in our mini-bus.
Caroline Evans
Hi, I’m Caroline Evans and I’ve been at Hethersett Hall for 7 years now and been in the care sector for 13 years and believed it was time for a change in my career at Barchester.
I’m extremely motivated for my new role as activities coordinator. I hope I will bring joy and fun to everyone’s daily lives. I am a highly active and bubbly person. Looking after other people has always been my priority and I will do my best every day to make sure everyone is happy, safe and smiling.
I look forward to meeting you and hope you will all join in the events and activities that I will bring to Hethersett Hall.

Life at Hethersett Hall Care Home
The Gift of Giving
We had a lovely visit from Jane this week; Jane’s mother and father live here at Hethersett Hall.
Jane came in, as she often does, but wanted to say a special thank you to Ariana, our Activities Coordinator.
Jane was overwhelmed by how thoughtful and person-centred the Christmas gifts that Ariana had bought for her mum and dad were.
Ariana had put a lot of thought and effort into each individual set of Christmas presents she had bought for every resident to make this special time of year even more magical.
Pre-Lunch Drinks
Every Sunday at Hethersett Hall, before the residents sit down to their Sunday lunch, they enjoy a glass of wine or a gin & tonic with some delicious canapés prepared by our chefs.
Everyone recently gathered in the library for a good old natter and a little tipple as our lovely Christmas decorations transformed the room. It was a very happy and festive time.
Christmas Spirit
Here at Hethersett Hall, we have all been getting into the Christmas spirit. Residents and our amazing staff have all been having a lot fun together putting up the trees and decorations in preparation for this very magical time of year. Please pop in at any time to have a look around and grab yourself a hot drink to warm up, a minced pie to fill up and help us to keep everyday packed with festivities and smiles!
Weekly Yoga
Every week at Hethersett Hall, Bella, our yoga instructor, stops by to host a yoga session for residents. The class is something that residents look forward to as a way of keeping fit and healthy and also as a way to socialise with each other. Bella's class is appropriate for all residents of different abilities, including those with physical ailments. Bella also brings along her dog, Monty, whom usually snuggles into the nearest chair available to watch. The residents adore Monty and are always calling him, trying to get his attention.
Bonfire Night & Halloween
On Friday 3rd November, we celebrated Bonfire Night and Halloween (for a second time!) here at Hethersett. We had a fire dancer performing a show for us outside in our garden, with residents sat on the veranda wrapped up in blankets and enjoying hot chocolates as we got into the mood of the evening.
The night began with hot dogs and spooky desserts that were prepared by our kitchen team. We played many Halloween games, where residents and their loved ones were able to win some delicious sweets, dress up in Halloween costumes and dare to try out our spooky 'Halloween feel box'.
Halloween
On the 31st October, staff and residents had great fun dressing in their scariest outfits for Halloween! We saw devils, witches and even walking, talking pumpkins! Along with dressing up, we did Halloween crafts and carved some pumpkins.
It was a great day in which everybody enjoyed the chance to show their dark sides.
