Activities at Hethersett Hall Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities, hobbies and interests make up the most important part of our days and who we are as people. We provide a varied activities programme that reflects the interests and capabilities of all the individuals we support. All of the group and individual activities are designed to not only mentally and physically stimulate the people we care for, but to enhance their life skills and feelings of purpose and self-worth. We achieve this through a constantly updated activities programme and one-to-one sessions with residents that are tailored to suit individuals needs. We also offer a range of outings in our mini-bus.

Our sensational six artists and our wonderful dementia Café
Our Art class has been so fabulous after raising a grand total of £230 last year for Alzheimer’s selling our art work in an art exhibition held here at Hethersett hall, we have now have a new member who’s never done art before and to start painting at 102years of age is remarkable, the paint brush just flows and she’s doing a fantastic job, let’s hope some of her work will be ready for our next exhibition, Juli Mobbs artist is so pleased with all the work we are doing she literally jumps for joy.
In Hethersett the community means so much to all of us in the home and outside, we now welcome our dementia Café into the art classes to show them what we have been creating its lovely to see people from the village of Hethersett taking interest in our work, we have coffee and cake together and a good chat.
We have the best time listening to beautiful music and bringing out our inner artist.

Our visit to Old Catton Junior School young voices
Our visit to Old Catton Junior School young voices
We got invited to Old Catton Junior School to see the last rehearsal of the young voices concert,
so we all wrapped up warm and had a lovely trip on the mini bus, we got front row seats it was absolutely fantastic to watch and listen to all the children sing, the children will be performing at the 02 in London and are going to send us a copy of the live show we can’t wait to watch it.
Poppy is one of the children performing and is also a member of the junior ambassadors who volunteer to spend time with us at Hethersett hall so we treated her to a bag of goodies to take with her to the 02 so she could share with her friends, poppy said thank you, gave us all hugs and sent us a photo of her ready for the show this meant the world to us.
Poppy is coming back to see us on Valentine’s day to make some heart sun catchers we can’t wait to see her.

Coffee is a hug in mug
We love a good trip to the Garden centre to see what we can find, this time we all came up with the idea of doing a sunflower competition we purchased some seeds and some pots and we will begin to sow our seeds in time for the summer, we will have a race to see who’s grows the fastest and biggest, we all love sunflowers so much they are so bright and beautiful. We can’t wait to take pictures of our progress.
Who loves a coffee? We do.
We enjoy having a coffee in the garden centre and having some time to reminisce and talk about our lives and interests together its makes you feel warm inside a coffee certainly is a hug in a mug.
