Activities at Hempton Field Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Nina Mullerworth

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Nina and I have had the privilege of working at Hempton Field in my role as Activities Coordinator for over 15 years and I am looking forward to many more! I have enjoyed continually developing in the role with a variety of training courses, including a Level 2 NAPA and Aromatherapy Massage.

I love interacting with the residents and organising a varied programme of activities with a person-centred approach based on Barchester's Life Enrichment Programme of enhancing the wellbeing of mind, body and soul.  This includes ensuring residents can continue to enjoy hobbies, life experiences and keep active through exercise and music.  We are involved with local clubs and welcome in members of the community as well as a variety of outings in the minibus - these are always very popular!

Bastille Day

Residents at Hempton field enjoyed a fun-filled French-themed day, celebrating Bastille Day. We started our day enjoying a hot crispy buttered croissant!

To get us in the mood for the delicious French cuisine that our very experienced chef prepared throughout the day, our lunch menu was rustic French rolls followed by Beouf bourguignon and a tasty chocolate brioche dessert.

In the afternoon, we enjoyed a wonderful French cheese and wine tasting session, followed by Croque monsieur for supper. As well as this wonderful food, we enjoyed a virtual tour of Paris, as well as lots of giggles whilst we practised our French!
