Activities at Fountains Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Louise Crooks
Hello I am Louise, my first role with Barchester was caring for our residents. Previously I worked in an early years environment for 17 years where I organised activities and events. I am thrilled to now be Activities Lead and being able to continue enriching the life’s of our lovely residents here at Fountains.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Fountains Care Home

Enjoyable Trip to Hatton Locks
What a beautiful morning we had exploring Hatton locks. It is such a peaceful location to watch colourful narrowboats as they move through. We had the chance to talk with a local canal expert who shared some of the canals history with us. Of course we stopped by the local cafe for refreshments before heading home

High Tea a Success
What a super afternoon at our High Tea event. Residents & guests enjoyed glasses of Prosecco, teas & coffees & a wonderful selection of sandwiches, cakes & scones all home-made by our fabulous Chef, Maria & dining team. We are thrilled so many people came to join us.

Country and Western Fete
Our residents and their families enjoyed a Country and Western Fete and we're pleased to say it was a huge success! Everyone really enjoyed themselves participating in the line dancing followed by a singing performance from one of our amazing entertainers Richard!

Gentleman's Club
Gentlemen’s club, requested a trip out to the local pub. Here the gentlemen enjoyed fresh bitters and cider along with good topic of conversations about their time working in different backgrounds from being a carpenter to working at Land Rover in Solihull.

Strawberry Picking
Our residents, had a blast from the past as they ventured out to go strawberry picking. Residents reminisced about times in which they had done this as children and enjoyed taking their own families out to pick strawberries.

Royal Ascott
On Memory lane, the residents enjoyed watching the royal ascot. They found it entertaining trying on different hat wear, along with enjoying the refreshments of cakes and sparkling wine.
