Activities at Emily Jackson House Care Home
Our activities team continues to offer a wide range of activities to both mentally and physically stimulate our residents. Our activities include one to one shopping, group outings in our minibus, and regularly attending our local church and bowling club. We also enjoy the entertainment from the musicians who come and visit us as well as our PAT dog. We have a range of activities so residents with all abilities and talents can join in activities and social gatherings. We encourage families and volunteers to share the joy with us by taking part in our social events as well.

Life at Emily Jackson House Care Home
Pet Therapy with Rufus
We welcome well behaved pets at Emily Jackson House and enjoy weekly visits from the pat dog ‘Rufus’ who is very popular among all of the residents and staff.
Talks with Nigel
Talks with Nigel is a popular and interesting activity session that residents at Emily Jackson House enjoy, Nigel performs a presentation on a wide range of subjects including some of our favourites 50’s, 60’s and Christmas from around the world.
Manicures at Emily Jackson
The residents at Emily Jackson House enjoy weekly manicure sessions, which offer an opportunity for some well deserved pampering. Many of our residents enjoy visiting the salon for their manicure or alternatively in the comfort of their own room or lounges.
Music with Franz Hepburn
The residents enjoy a regular visit from Franz who performs a lively rendition of some favourite songs, a quiz and the interesting dance moves.
Cooking at Emily Jackson
Cooking activity sessions are regularly enjoyed at Emily Jackson House and recently we have enjoyed cooking recipes from one of our residents own published cook books with the assistance of the volunteer students from Sevenoaks School.
Bowls at Hollybush I.B.C
The residents at Emily Jackson House enjoy a fortnightly bowling session at Hollybush indoor bowls club and have recently become quite competitive. The session can be adapted for different abilities and is a fun way to enjoy some physical and mental exercise.
