Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Cossins House Care Home
St Patrick's Day
We had a wonderful time celebrating St Patrick's Day at Cossins House. Residents had a delicious Irish Stew with dumplings, accompanied by a drop of Guinness whilst listening to Irish music. The Staff at Cossins also entertained residents with a little Irish dancing too!
Art Class
Resident had a fun-filled afternoon of arts, painting and laughter. We sat opposite each other and painted portraits. The talent was impressive and the activity truly enjoyed by all.
Pancake Day
We had a tasty afternoon on Pancake Day. Lots of topping choices for us all to enjoy. One of the residents, Phyllis, was delighted with her lemon juice, maple syrup and fresh strawberries.
Pamper Session
Our amazing ladies love to look their best every day. Residents enjoyed a special pamper session recently of hairdressing and make up.
Spanish Day
A wonderful Spanish day at Cossins House. Our residents enjoyed Spanish music and quizzes, followed by a delicious lunch, prepared by our wonderful chef, Raji. At Cossins House we like to engage with different cultures and try new delicious dishes.
Relaxation Therapy
We had a great afternoon of relaxation therapy recently as residents at the home enjoyed a pamper session of face masks and massages. The room was so relaxing with the sounds of waves playing too!
