Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

Life at Cossins House Care Home
Guildford Cathedral
Residents at Cossins House enjoyed a lovely trip to Guildford Cathedral. Canon John De Sauasmarez was delighted to go back to the Cathedral, where he preached himself back in the 1960s.
Family & Friends BBQ
We had a fantastic afternoon get together with our relatives and friends for a super delicious BBQ in our stunning garden, followed by Terry Gleed performing live.
A Trip to Mexico
Residents at Cossins House enjoyed a lovely trip to Mexico with a delicious menu of salsa dips, nachos, Mexican bean salad, enchiladas and Mexican fiesta rice.
Enjoying the Sunshine
Residents had wonderful afternoon at Cossins House making the most of the sunshine. The ice cream man popped by and gave us all an enormous ice cream to enjoy whilst listening to Jimmy Kent sing live.
Fun in the Sun
Resident, Frances, loves to sit in the garden going through the menu with our Chef, Caz. Caz likes to give all our residents time to discuss the different choices we have and always looks for new suggestions of each residents preferred taste.
Ice Cream in the Sunshine
Residents at Cossins House were delighted to hear the sound of the ice cream van arriving at Cossins House. All residents were very happy to have ice cream out in the garden with the sun shining.
