Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Cossins House Care Home
Indian Lunch
A delicious Indian Lunch at Cossins house was prepared by our Chef, Raji. There was cauliflower, onion and potato fritters followed by chicken and vegetable curry, served with naan bread and poppadoms.
Food & Sunshine
We made the most of the sunshine and had fun together at lunch with a delicious BBQ. The day was full of joy and happiness!
Beach Day
Residents and staff had a lovely day at the beach, enjoying fish and chips with cocktails. Residents loved dipping their toes in the sand and water. It was a fantastic day with lots of laughter.
Painting at Cossins
Residents at Cossins House had a lovely day getting the paint brushes out and getting creative. Residents each chose a spot around the home and out in the garden to paint a picture of others and things we have in our garden. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and lots of talent to be seen!
Puzzle Afternoon
Puzzle afternoon at Cossins House is a great time to work as a team. Residents get together in groups and are each given a 100 piece puzzle to enjoy and see which team can complete theirs first. Prizes are given out for the fastest team. Each week we change our teams to make the days more enjoyable.
Painshill Park
Residents at Cossins House enjoyed a wonderful afternoon out to Painshill Park in Cobham Surrey. Painshill is a beautiful place to visit with amazing views and a gorgeous Grotto. After a fantastic walk around the lake we sat and enjoyed cream scones and tea.
