Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

Top 20 Care Home 2022 Award!
We are happy to announce that we have won a carehome.co.uk award and have been prized for one of the Top 20 Care Homes in our region for 2022. The awards highlight the most recommended care homes in each region of the UK and the recognition is based on published reviews from residents and their families and friends, as of February 2022.
Family Time
We love to welcome families to Cossins House. Family time is cherished and memories are made. Residents and relatives had a wonderful afternoon of music and pimms in our sunny garden.
Chinese Meal
Residents at Cossins House all love a Chinese meal. Activity Coordinator Lisa turned our dining room in to a Chinese restaurant. Chef Raji and Assistant Roza cooked a delicious Chinese meal for everyone to enjoy.
Hawaiian Day
Cossins House Team had a fun filled Hawaiian Day with a beautiful BBQ. We spent time with each other, laughing smiling and enjoying the decorations. We really felt like we were on holiday. After a delicious meal together we enjoyed an afternoon of live music and singing along with Christine Davies.
Puppy Love
We love to spend time with dogs. Relative Richard brought along his 12month old puppy to visit. Residents were delighted to be able to cuddle the little Labrador. Resident Maureen was so happy to as she has spent many years training Labradors. We look forward to our next visit.
Delicious Dishes
Residents at Cossins House are delighted each day to try new starters prepared by our lovely Kitchen Assistant Roza. Roza is very creative and makes something different each day.
