Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

Valentine’s Day at Cossins House
Residents were delighted to spend time with their loved ones and enjoy a delicious meal to celebrate valentine’s day.
Each resident was given a rose from our lovely Ken. New memories were made and lots of chocolates were eaten.
Gentlemen’s Lunch at The Cricketers
Resident's Geoffrey and Ken enjoyed a delicious lunch at the pub with our Maintenance man Manny and Gardner Alex. Our gents were delighted to spend some quality time together and do the things they always love.
Making Memories
We've had a great start to 2023, making new memories together. Residents at Cossins House enjoy getting out and about on regular bus trips. Residents engage in different conversations and enjoy a change of scenery. Our trips mean so much to us all as we love to be out in the community and continue to go to places we love.
Frank Sinatra Tribute
Residents at Cossins House had a wonderful afternoon with ‘SoSinatra’ performing. Residents said it’s like having the real Frank Sinatra in the building. He is so good. Residents sang along and enjoyed every moment. We look forward to seeing him again in June.
Birthday celebrations at Cossins House.
Our dear Pat had a lovely day celebrating her birthday with residents and staff. Pat loved her flowers and cake and said ‘thank you so much for your kindness, I didn’t expect any of this’.
Christmas at Cossins House
Residents at Cossins House have had a wonderful Christmas with relatives, friends and staff. Christmas gifts were a joy for all. Residents were all delighted with their jumpers, cardigans and tops.
Our celebrations continued throughout December with Carols, Holy Communion, Pantomimes, Parties and much more.
