Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

Life at Cossins House Care Home
Family Time
Residents at Cossins love to spend time with their relatives. New memories made and more to come. Residents enjoy lunches with their relatives and time out in our lovely garden. Quite often relatives join us for live entertainment and always end up on the dance floor.
Happy Times
At Cossins House, residents build great friendships. Residents love to sit out in the garden and keep each other company. Sharing stories over afternoon tea.
Happy Halloween from Cossins House
Residents at Cossins House had fun digging out pumpkins and helping our Maintenance man Manny carve their own designs. They looked fantastic, also, the pumpkin soup was a delight.
Surprise Guests
Residents at Cossins House loved their visit from surprise guests. Staff, Lisa and Tina decided to bring the theatre to Cossins House by dressing up and enjoying a fun afternoon with all our residents. Everyone was happy and full of laughter and joy, especially when the hidden faces were revealed.
Compassionate Hands
Residents at Cossins House love to sit back and relax and enjoy spa days. Relaxing hand massages with beautiful scented oils help us relax and feel good.
Tap Dancing
A wonderful afternoon of Tap Dancing by Katie. An outstanding dance performance enjoyed by all at Cossins house. Katie tapped the afternoon away to some well-known songs so we could all sing along to and enjoy. Resident Pat said ‘where does she get that energy from?’ Resident Jean said ‘if only I could dance like that’. We are looking forward to seeing Katie again very soon.
