Activities at Cossins House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in care since the age of 16, when leaving school. Over the years, I have been a senior care assistant, administrator, home trainer and activities coordinator. I really enjoy working with the elderly residents.

Life at Cossins House Care Home
Puppy Love
We love to spend time with dogs. Relative Richard brought along his 12month old puppy to visit. Residents were delighted to be able to cuddle the little Labrador. Resident Maureen was so happy to as she has spent many years training Labradors. We look forward to our next visit.
Delicious Dishes
Residents at Cossins House are delighted each day to try new starters prepared by our lovely Kitchen Assistant Roza. Roza is very creative and makes something different each day.
Derby Day
Wow what a race! Maintenance man Manny Muthy organised a fulfilled afternoon getting residents to pick a horse in each race for the Derby and gifted each with prizes for the winner. A great afternoon of laughter. Resident Phyllis was delighted with her chocolates.
Ice Cream
After 4 lovely days of celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee we needed a cool down. Lisa our Activities Organiser arranged for the ice cream man to come along to Cossins house too surprise us. A lovely and delicious surprise.
Jubilee Celebrations
Residents and staff at Cossins House had a wonderful few days celebrating the Platinum Jubilee with a Big Lunch, Quizzes, Music and fun and games and not to forget the wine. Residents told each other their stories of the Queen’s Coronation. Resident Jean was delighted that she has been here to see both fantastic celebrations.
Enjoying Life
We like to celebrate birthdays together and spend time with each other making friends and enjoying life. Residents at Cossins House love to get together and make every day count.
