Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Daxter Board

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Daxter and I'm the activities coordinator here at Claremont Parkway. I've worked within care homes since moving to Kettering and have experience across the departments giving me a good understanding of all our resident's needs.

I'm passionate about providing tailored activities that truly engage each and every resident. Through getting to know them as individuals, I can work together with my colleagues to find life enriching experiences; small or large that will brighten their days whilst they reside with us.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Messages of Kindness

We have received many cards of thanks and kindness during this time. It is lovely to receive positive feedback from families and friends.

So a big thank you to you all!

Support Team Day

We here at Claremont Parkway decided the rest of the team needed a thank you too, so we hosted a 'Support Team Day' to give a big thank you to the kitchen team, housekeeping team, reception/admin team, the activities team and to maintenance, as they all do a fantastic job in keeping the home running.

Back to School

For Fun Friday, we have become Claremont Academy. The team dressed up in their school uniforms and even took part in a fun exam. We will have to wait and see who gets an A+. The residents have been having their activities in fun lessons, such P.E. and English.

Everyone is having fun talking about the good old school days!

A Royal Celebration

For the Queen's official birthday, Matt the Chef Manager, got all creative and made a lovely Union Jack cake and a crown cake for the residents. They thoroughly enjoyed them!

Carers Week

For Carers Week, we made a 'Wall of Thanks'. We asked the residents if they had anything that they wanted to say to the care team. The care team were very touched by the nice messages from the residents

National Biscuit Day

To celebrate National Biscuit Day, residents made Empire biscuits. We also took a biscuit poll to see which was the winning biscuit of Claremont Parkway: everyone unanimously decided it was Viennese. We also asked the question: do you think the Jaffa Cake is a biscuit or a cake? We here at Claremont Parkway have spoken: it is a biscuit.
