"My wife has been a resident at Barchester Claremont Parkway Care Home since May 2024, where she was originally placed by local authorities for respite care, after release from hospital where she was treated for a serious stroke. Whilst at Claremont, she has had good care, treated with dignity, care staff look after her well. The manager has provided me with some invaluable advice over the past months."

"Our mum was moved here on 27th December 2016 until she passed away on 29th February 2016. The care, love and compassion received by both our mum and ourselves was outstanding. All staff were friendly and welcoming, always has time to talk, no matter what time or how busy they were. Nothing was too much bother for them."

"My 91-year-old mother has just returned home after a 2 week convalescence and recuperation stay at Claremont Parkway. Her stay was funded by the NHS. Both my mother and the family were most impressed by the standard of care that she received; the food that she was served and the delightful room that she occupied. Everywhere looks welcoming and spick and span and the staff are smiling, careful, mindful and kind. We are full of praise for the whole team."

"Comfortable and spotless room. The staff mostly very friendly and chirpy. Spotless rooms, entertainment often in the lounge with very friendly staff. Excellent medical staff encouraging exercise."

"Staff were caring, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was cleaned daily and deep cleaned once a month. There were plenty of toilet facilities for residents and visitors, as well as en-suite rooms. Meals were satisfactory, but not always hot. It would have been nice to have alcohol and soft drinks available at lunchtime."

"Mum was looked after very well. She fell in love with nearly all staff and they were very patient and caring with her. Towards the end of her stay she was reluctant to leave. We needed her closer to home, for more people to visit her. All staff lined up a the door to say goodbye. She was very touched."

"I enjoyed my stay at Claremont, although it was not long enough. A special thanks to the nurses and staff. The only thing is not enough tea or liquid between meals. I would recommend it to anyone."

"I'm generally a critical person. Be that as it may, I could not fault the treatment I have been given. All staff have been truly kind. The room has been very clean and comfortable and food has been plentiful and good. I joined in activities and had exercises, it was social and lots of fun. My only complaint has been the mattress as although firm, it was not like my own at home as I have a harder one. I am now going home."

"I was transferred to Claremont Care Home from hospital and was very pleased with the welcome I received. My carers were very concerned that I was comfortable and had constant their attention to my needs. There was a good selection of food and hot drinks and I felt much at home and cared for. Many thanks to all."

"My mother has been in Claremont for four weeks and is soon to be discharged to her home. I have found all the staff extremely helpful and caring and feel it has been a positive experience for my mother. Any queries I have had have been dealt with promptly and efficiently and I would recommend Claremont to other friends and family."

"My grandmother has been in Claremont Parkway 2 times in the past 3 years due to a stay in hospital and each time she has been very well looked after. Staff are wonderful and can't do enough for her. Very impressed."

"I have had a wonderful experience with caring, considerate staff who went out of their way to ensure my comfort. They were sympathetic to my needs and always had time for me. Daily physio would have been good."

"My mum came to the care home under c/o the hospital after 10 weeks in hospital. During this time she became muddled and disoriented, since coming to Claremont she has shown rapid improvement. She is encouraged to eat meals in the dining room and chat to other residents. The staff are all very caring and supportive. Although she remains totally dependent, we can see moments of the real mum. Thank you."

"Mum was brought here following a 5-week stay in the hospital. From the first day that she arrived, she has been treated with respect and compassion. Every member of staff we have encountered have all had a caring attitude. This was mums 1st experience of being cared for outside her home and we will always be grateful that it has been so positive. The care she received has returned her sense of humour and fun that had been taken during her illness. She will miss the staff she has become so fond of."

"Staff absolutely amazing, feel as if they couldn't do enough for our mum. She was given lots of encouragement to join in all the activities offered. The family were made very welcome and could visit any time open door policy. They kept us in the loop at all times about mum's care."

"Transferred from K.G.H for rehabilitation and physiotherapy just after Christmas 2015. Room available very comfortable and clean. All staff friendly and helpful, assisted and encouraged now I am able to wash, dress and mobilise short distances independently, still have carer to have showers or baths as I choose. Food menus have choice and I enjoy cooked breakfast, hot dinners and dessert, tea times choices of hot or cold with suppers before settling down at night can have hot drinks as requested. Enjoyed social chats, group activities, music entertainment and 1-1 nail care with activity team."

"I visit my friend on a monthly basis, we know each other from church. The home appears to be very comfortable and suits all of her needs. The staff I have met are friendly and helpful. The lounge area is always occupied by residents albeit most of them are sleeping."

"Wonderful staff, nothing too much trouble. Activities good, keep the minds of the residents active. Food good, can cater for most tastes including vegetarians. Rooms large and very clean much like home. Would recommend the home to anyone very welcoming."
