Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Daxter Board

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Daxter and I'm the activities coordinator here at Claremont Parkway. I've worked within care homes since moving to Kettering and have experience across the departments giving me a good understanding of all our resident's needs.

I'm passionate about providing tailored activities that truly engage each and every resident. Through getting to know them as individuals, I can work together with my colleagues to find life enriching experiences; small or large that will brighten their days whilst they reside with us.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Let's Garden

Our residents had a lovely afternoon finishing off the raised flower beds with some plants.

Sue, whose husband Mike who is part of the Kettering Lions Club, supported our residents with picking out the flowers and helping to plant them.

A massive thank you to Sue, Mike and Bernard for supporting our resident in making the flower beds look wonderful.

Doll Therapy

We have some new additions to the Claremont Parkway family: we would like to introduce you to Anna and Emi, our new therapy dolls. As you can see they, were a huge hit with our Memory Lane residents.

A Voice in a Million

Residents had a marvellous afternoon here at Claremont Parkway and enjoyed a performance by Fiona Harrison. It was so nice to welcome our first entertainer back in the home.

,

Ball Games

Residents got creative here at Claremont Parkway and made some yarn balls. The residents loved getting their hands in and getting messy, it was all part of the fun. We can’t wait to pop the balloons and see how they look.

Lainy’s Rescue Food Donation

We had a lovely visit from Harry and the ladies at Lainy’s Rescue, here at Claremont Parkway.

The team and the families donated food to support Lainy’s Rescue. As a thank you, the ladies brought Harry along to meet our residents.

Harry was found wandering the streets of Wellingborough and is now being taken care of by the team at Lainy’s Rescue.

Our residents loved meeting Harry and we are all sure that he will find his forever home.

Welcome Back!

We welcomed Debbie, our hairdresser, back at Claremont Parkway. The residents were so happy to see her; we had lots of smiling faces.
