Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Daxter Board

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Daxter and I'm the activities coordinator here at Claremont Parkway. I've worked within care homes since moving to Kettering and have experience across the departments giving me a good understanding of all our resident's needs.

I'm passionate about providing tailored activities that truly engage each and every resident. Through getting to know them as individuals, I can work together with my colleagues to find life enriching experiences; small or large that will brighten their days whilst they reside with us.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Year of the Ox

To celebrate the Year of the Ox here at Claremont Parkway, the residents enjoyed watching a lion dance, as well as learning to say hello, thank you and goodbye in Chinese.

The residents really enjoyed learning Chinese; one of our new ladies was brilliant at it. After speaking to her husband, it turned out that she had spent some time in China.

The Vaccine Arrives

We here at Claremont Parkway are so proud to say that many of our team have had their COVID-19 vaccinations, with many more booked in. Our team feels that it is so important to do all we can to keep our residents as safe during this time.

Christmas Day

Residents had a nice surprise on Christmas Day; the children of Windermere Nursery very kindly brought presents for each of them.

Gail Benford, from Windermere Nursery, contacted us, as the nursery wanted to do something nice for our residents during this time.

The residents loved the presents and commented on how nice and thoughtful it was of the nursery to think of them during this time.

Thank you very much to all the children and families of Windermere Nursery.
