Activities at Cherry Trees Care Home

Our activities team are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual social events for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest, including the local theatre, as well as visits from Pat dogs, musicians and entertainers. We also host bingo, quiz and knitter natter afternoons that we encourage relatives and the local community to attend. Our Gentleman's Club is also open to non-residents every Thursday afternoon from 2:30pm, join us for a tipple of your choice, we have plenty of snacks and chats. For the ladies, our beauty salon provides; hairdressing and nail pampering, you too can enjoy a drink and some well-deserved 'me' time. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Cherry Trees is fun and active.

Residents and staff enjoyed singing along to all of the fantastic songs throughout the performance and seeing all of the lovely costumes. We always have a lovely time when visiting the Hippodrome and have many more performances booked in the diary.

Day out at The West Midland’s Safari Park

We has a fantastic day out at The West Midland’s Safari Park. The animals were adorable and our residents were especially taken by the baby Rhino. We has an extra special surprise when a Zebra came right up to the window of our Mini Bus to say hello. Before we went home we enjoyed a picnic in the park, it was a bit nippy but this did not stop us from enjoying ourselves.

Olympic Fun

Olympic Fun

We had a fantastic day celebrating the end of the Olympics on our Memory Lane Community. We played traditional games like Hula Hoop ,Tennis and Throw the Can, but to name a few. Residents especially enjoyed the Hula Hoop and there was lots of giggles whilst we all had a go. We concluded the day by treating ourselves to a slice of homemade cake prepared by our kitchen team which went down nicely with a cuppa.

Fun in the Garden

Fun in the Garden

We always enjoy spending time in our beautiful garden. We took advantage of a glorious day and had fun singing summer songs and reminiscing about different flowers Steve our brilliant gardener had planted. Steve also told us all about when the flowers have to be planted and when they flower during the year. Some days we also enjoy our lunch outside and not forgetting ice cream when it’s really hot.
