Activities at Cherry Trees Care Home

Our activities team are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual social events for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest, including the local theatre, as well as visits from Pat dogs, musicians and entertainers. We also host bingo, quiz and knitter natter afternoons that we encourage relatives and the local community to attend. Our Gentleman's Club is also open to non-residents every Thursday afternoon from 2:30pm, join us for a tipple of your choice, we have plenty of snacks and chats. For the ladies, our beauty salon provides; hairdressing and nail pampering, you too can enjoy a drink and some well-deserved 'me' time. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Cherry Trees is fun and active.

Out & About

Out & About

We enjoyed our visit to Evesham’s Crafts Shop; there was so much to see and we all had loads of ideas for our arts and crafts sessions.

Afterwards, we all had tea and cake in their lovely little coffee shop.

Cards at Cherry Trees

Cards at Cherry Trees

Our eldest resident still enjoys a game of cards with the girls. We didn’t play for money like the men would but we always have a great time.

Off to the Supermarket

Off to the Supermarket

We had a normal day out shopping at the supermarket and afterwards we all had lunch at their café. There’s nothing better than sausage, egg and chips resident, Susan, said. After arriving back home, we all had a cuppa and read the magazines we had bought for all the gossip.

Baking Morning

Residents and staff members enjoyed a morning of baking in The Cupcake Café; we all talked about what we loved baking the most and which day we would bake for the family. We also chatted about our favourite recipes and also what our nans and mothers had passed down to us.

Of course, we all enjoyed tasting them after while having our cups of tea.

Minibus Trip to Webb's

We had a wonderful afternoon at Webb’s looking at all the different flowers, plants and other things that we would like to decorate our garden with at Cherry Trees.

Residents and staff were pleased to see that Webb’s are already getting ready for Christmas, but we could only see the Christmas lights because everything was hidden, so we are planning a trip back and we are all very excited.

We all enjoyed a rest in the café, where some residents indulged in some ice cream and coffee.

Out & About

Out & About

Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside!

It was a bit far for us to go to the beach, so we did the next best thing and went on a minibus trip to the valley in Evesham, where there is a beach with lots of sand, old fashioned rides, balloons and much more.

Residents enjoyed seeing the children play and Michael said it brought back memories of when he took his children on holiday.

We enjoyed a picnic and later went for a cup of tea in one of the shops before returning back home.
