Meet the Cherry Trees Care Home team
Our trained team of professionals work together to create the best possible experience for those living in the home, striving to deliver excellent care services in a warm, homely environment. You can find out more about some of our wonderful staff members below:
Hi, my name is Debbie and I am the General Manager here at Cherry Trees. Welcome to our website!
I originally joined Cherry Trees as the Head of Care, after a career in teaching and caring for children. My passion is ensuring our resident's specific care and nursing needs are met and are the core of the wonderful work the team does here at Cherry Trees.
Staff training and development is of the utmost importance to me, as a qualified trainer for Barchester Healthcare I ensure that our team are up-to-date with the latest research, policies and best practice, so that I we can enhance the quality of life and care delivered throughout the home.
I am committed to the delivery of person-centered care and focus on what residents can do, not what they can't. I promote independence and well-being and consider working in this sector to be a privilege, not a job.
I am dedicated to ensuring the delivery of high quality care by my team and endeavour to create happiness amongst residents at Cherry Trees.
I qualifed as a RGN in 2014 and, since then, I have been working mainly within the NHS trusts in a variety of specialities. Before joining the team permanently, I always admired the quality of care that is provided for the residents here at Cherry Trees.
In October 2019, with very little persuasion, I applied and accepted for the post to become a Clinical Lead on the Dementia Unit at Cherry Trees. I have enjoyed my role and also the opportunities that came with working for Barchester. I became the Deputy Manager in August 2020 and have been proud of the support that I have received from my colleagues. I am now looking forward to a bright future here at Cherry Trees and at Barchester.
Hi, my name is Senzeni, and I am the Head of Department on our Young at Heart unit. I have worked at Barchester since 2016.
Karen joined us from the Finance customer service sector for which she had worked for over 30 years. Her previous job entailed working within a specialised care environment. She is the administrator of most daily duties and works closely with the General Manager to continue to acheive the high standard Cherry Trees sets themselves.
Hello my name is Jo-Anne, I'm the Lead Activities coordinator here at Cherry Trees Care Home. I have been working in the care industry for around 20 years. I've been at Cherry Trees since 2017 as a Senior Carer on Memory Lane and Young at Heart. I have built up lovely relationships with both the residents and their families. I am very passionate about activities because I love seeing the joy it brings on residents faces.
My goal is to help the residents in the home live life to the full.
We provide a range of activities to cover all abilities at Cherry Trees and welcome any suggestions you may have to help improve our residents lives, please feel free to come and see me at any time with your ideas and suggestions. I look forward to meeting you.
I have been with Cherry Trees for over 10 years and love working with residents and the team. I work alongside contractors, and I have learnt many new skills during my time with Barchester, which has developed my role in maintaining and developing Cherry Trees. I am always very positive and ready to help others, and I don’t like to stay still. I really enjoy being busy and I am always smiling.
Chris is our Head Chef who joins the team here at Cherry Trees with a wealth of catering experience. He ensures that delivering freshly prepared, nutritious meals with a person centered approach is at the heart of everything he does.
Maxine will manage the housekeeping and laundry teams, ensuring that all areas of Cherry Trees are clean, tidy, presentable, as well as the residents clothing and bedding. The wellbeing of residents, guests and visitors is paramount for Maxine.
