Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Residents at Bushey House always enjoy the weekly quiz lead by quiz master Martin. This weeks was an extra special one as it is the last one before Christmas and had a festive theme. Our Chef team prepared home baked warm mince pies and cream and a delicious mulled wine.
What a lovely way to spend an afternoon !

Christingle service at Bushey House !
Christingles are usually held from the end of November through to February (Advent to Candlemas), with Christmas Eve being a particularly popular time for services A Christingle is a symbolic object used in the Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany services of many Christian denominations. Christingle, from a word of German origin, Christkindl, meaning "Little Christ Child", is used to celebrate Jesus Christ as the "Light of the World"
Residents at Bushey made their own Christingles as part of the celebrations.
The Golden Ball Christmas Show !
Residents and team members at Bushey House had an amazing time at The Golden Ball Christmas Show. Thank you to Watford Football Club and Watford Council for arranging such an amazing virtual event. We danced and sang. Enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine. A great time was had by all.

Residents at Bushey House Beaumont were delighted to receive beautiful gifts from St Hilda's School for girls. These beautiful gifts were hand delivered and then given to residents to enjoy.

Residents at Bushey House have been working on their creative flair with a wonderful master class in Christmas Decorations. They made these beautiful Christmas wreaths and with be adorning them around Bushey House.
