Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Tina Stovey

Activities Lead /Diversity Champion

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Life at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pudding Competition.

Excitement is running high at Bushey House Beaumont as we have been cooking up a storm to enter the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pudding Competition.
The competition is being run by Fortnum & Mason to create a pudding that the whole nation can bake for themselves and that will be served, not only at Jubilee parties up and down the country, but to the Queen herself to celebrate 70 years on the throne.
We put our heads together and donned our aprons to come up with a scrumptious pudding that we thinks encapsulates the Queen’s reign.
During the creating session, our residents decided that they wanted to create a small selection of what they believe is Britain’s favourite desserts, so we have a few to choose from:

A very Merry Sherry Trifle
Majestic Meringue Pie
A Rather Royal Summer Fruit Pudding
Elizabeth Sponge
