Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

A bake sale for two great causes !
Bushey House Beaumont have been fund raising this week for two fantastic causes Macmillan Cancer Support and The Barchester Foundation.
Today we held a bake sale with delicious treat's baked by our amazing chef and his team.
Mitzvah Day !
Mitzvah Day !
On Mitzvah Day each year, community groups and individuals volunteer their time and do good deeds for others in their community.
This year 17th Bushey Brownies gifted residents at Bushey House Beaumont with these beautiful Mitzvah Boxes. Each one was individually crafted.
We would like to thank all those involved, they were absolutely beautiful and we loved them.
International Sherry week !
International Sherry week !
This year International Sherry Week takes place from November 8th to 14th and is celebrated by sherry aficionados from all over the world. It was certainly a week of fun-filled tastings for the staff and residents at Bushey House care home in Bushey.
We have a few connoisseurs in the home some they made suggestions on which Sherries we should try. Overall they were all very nice,

Lest we forget !
On Sunday residents and team members got together to mark remembrance Sunday. We watched the BBC ceremony and took part in the 2 minute silence . We made a collage and shared memories together. We spoke of the importance of remembering and passing on our stories to the younger generation.

Sparklers and Fizz !
Bushey House Beaumont celebrated Guy Fawkes night with a bang. The evening started with a fabulous show by Fiona Harrison, vintage entertainer and singer, who entertained us a with fabulous variety of song from Opera to Rock and Roll.
Residents lit sparklers in the garden and enjoyed a delicious homemade soup and bread rolls served by our chef and his team.
The evening was topped off with a lovely glass of fizz.
Celebrating Diwali !
Celebrating Diwali !
Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists. The festival is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar month Kartika.
The life enrichment team at Bushey house arranged an interesting talk for residents to find out more about the meaning of Diwali and its traditions. Afterwards we took part in a quiz to test or knowledge and enjoyed some Diwali treats and listened to some traditional music.
