Activities at Badgeworth Court Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators provide a stimulating social programme to suit residents' individual tastes and desires, and offer group or one-to-one activities based on individual preferences. We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

Introducing our very special resident ambassador Robin

Robin is very much looking forward to his new role as resident ambassador. He has spent the last two weeks researching local points of interest for our minibus outings, including research on wheelchair access and disabled parking. Robin is an architect and has had a lot of input in local architecture of which we are looking forward to visiting on our outings. Robin has been a vegetarian for over 30 years and used to run his own vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Cheltenham, he is looking forward to assisting the chef in creating a varied menu as well as voicing the opinions of his fellow residents in their monthly meetings.

Classical Tea Party

Classical Tea Party

To make the most of the glorious weather, we decided to hold our tea party in the lovely grounds of Badgeworth Court. Finger sandwiches, cakes and scones were served to residents, friends and family on the finest china, whilst the 'King & Rackham Duo' performed on the violin and piano. We all enjoyed sitting in the sunshine, socialising and listening to classical music.

A Walk Around the Grounds

A Walk Around the Grounds

Residents are particularly lucky here at Badgeworth, as the grounds are absolutely stunning. Justin, our Gardener, takes pride in the gardens and the residents love to see him hard at work. We’ve had particularly nice weather over the last few weeks and the sunshine has highlighted the wonderful array of colours that the flowers provide in the grounds. Visiting the sheep, Shetland pony and the horse at the bottom of the garden is a real treat, as the rolling hills of Gloucestershire provide a serene backdrop.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy

Residents at Badgeworth enjoyed a fantastic day of pampering from Lisa Tilley. We converted one of our grand lounges into a spa for the day, with a picturesque room divider, a therapy bed and soft flickering candles. There was relaxing music and a beautiful selection of aromatherapy oils, which were a real treat for residents.
