Activities at Badgeworth Court Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators provide a stimulating social programme to suit residents' individual tastes and desires, and offer group or one-to-one activities based on individual preferences. We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

Churchdown Ukulele Group comes to Badgeworth Court

A Bright and Beautiful afternoon of music!

On the 13th May the residents of Badgeworth Court were entertained by the wonderful Churchdown Ukulele Group. An uplifting afternoon with lots of singing and dancing. Everyone was feeling the rhythm, from foot tapping, clapping along and getting up and showing everyone their moves. Even the staff couldn’t resist a boogie!

Pate's Grammar School Visits Badgeworth Court

Pate’s Grammar School Student Visits

Students from Pate's Grammar School are regular visitors to Badgeworth Court. The residents enjoyed an afternoon in the  garden with students, decorating bird boxes in the afternoon sunshine. With the warmer weather finally here, the residents are able to spend more time out in the garden and they can admire their newly decorated bird boxes. We look forward to many more visits from the students.

World Book Day

World Book Day

To celebrate World Book Day this year, our staff came to work in their pyjamas and donated money to the residents' fund. All residents thought it was very funny seeing the staff come to work dressed like this; and it made the home look very bright and cheerful all day. We also spent some time talking about our favourite books and why we like them.

Paw Print Biscuits

Paw Print Biscuits

Food based activities are always popular and so are animals. We decided to combine the two into one activity and made some lovely paw print biscuits with chocolate buttons. It was as much fun easting them as it was making them, and gave us all the opportunity to talk about our pets and animals we like as well.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year

Here at Badgeworth we welcomed the Chinese year of the Pig in with an afternoon of Chinese foods, masks and fortune cookies. We enjoyed experiencing the different flavours with sweet and sour being a favourite. We all laughed at what the fortune cookies said would happen for us this year.

For the Love of Music

For the Love of Music

We invited a local folk music group into our home to hold their rehearsals in our lovely lounge. They happily let residents sit and watch them whilst they rehearsed and then enjoyed a cup of tea and slice of cake with them afterwards. This event was really popular with lots of residents who enjoyed listening to the different folk songs and singing along to many of them.
