Activities at Atfield House Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Atfield House Care Home

,

Love is in the air

Valentines is always a special time, staff make sure that everyone receives a special gift, lunch and has a chance to reminisce about times of their own love stories. This lovely couple celebrated a day of over 50 years of memories.

Chinese New Year Celebrations

Staff and residents at Atfield House in Isleworth welcomed in the Year of the Ox with a day of celebrations and activities.

Inspired by Chinese culture and traditions, lucky red envelopes were exchanged and the home was decorated with hanging red lanterns. Residents learnt all about the traditions and superstitions of Chinese New Year. Head Chef cooked up an oriental feast for lunch and residents enjoyed the delicious food washed down with pots of Chinese tea.

Door step deliveries from local school

Residents and staff were treated to a delicious afternoon treat. Children from the local school bought, made and then delivered a plethora of Indian cuisine and sweet cakes and cookies. Everyone just loved the kindness behind the gesture and really enjoyed the food too.

,

Vaccination Day

Residents and staff are delighted to have received the first dose of the Corona Virus Vaccine, all from the comfort of their home. Our local surgery St Margaret's led the vaccinations. Residents were made to feel calm and at ease throughout the whole process.

,

Baking fun

When the snow is falling outside, what a better way to spend an afternoon. Baking and decorating sweet treats for the whole home to enjoy. All whilst watching as the garden turns into a winder wonderland.

Hounslow Food Box Donations

Supporting the local community has always been really important to Atfied House. The staff and residents got together and decided they wanted to help the Hounslow Food Box. With the current economy situation and people needing food supplies more than ever, we were ready to help. Boxing up lots of essential non perishable items and delivering them to the hub. It felt great to help and give something back.
