Atfield House Care Home in Isleworth, London

Atfield House is a purpose-built home providing excellent 24-hour nursing and residential care in a warm and friendly environment. Alongside long-term care, we also offer short-term breaks for respite and intermediate care. Our experienced and dedicated team are committed to delivering an exceptional standard of compassionate care, which focuses on the individual needs of each resident.

Our ground floor Memory Lane Community offers specialist care for individuals living with dementia. The community features 32 single rooms with en-suit toilets, spacious corridors, and an enclosed sensory garden, which residents can easily access. To aid our reminiscence work, each resident can personalise their room with art work, photos, decorative items and small pieces of furniture.

Our other two units, for older people in need of support, each have their own lounge, dining room and beautiful garden, which are very much enjoyed by residents, their relatives and friends. We make the most of our beautiful surroundings, particularly with our lively and inclusive programme of activities.

Situated on the Old Watney’s brewery site, we are within walking distance of Old Isleworth and its cafes, pubs and access to the River James. St. John’s Park is also across the road, surrounded by a lively local community. Drop in and see us, or come for lunch and try our delicious, home-cooked menu. We look forward to meeting you!

This unit is unique, not only for the excellent care provided, but also for its location on the ground floor around a courtyard garden, which enables access at all times. We also provide care for older people who require day-to-day assistance with all activities, and are well-known for our exemplary palliative care services. We are able to support residents at all times with our resources and the support of our friends in the community.

Our Team

The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.

Elaine Robson

General Manager

I have been a Registered nurse for 36 years, working with older people in care homes and the community for 20 years. I was very fortunate at the start of my career to work in a very forward looking environment that was advocating person centred care. This is the way I have continued to care for Residents.

I have worked for several companies, I moved to Atfield House in July 2012. I hope to finish my working career with Barchester Health Care. I am fortunate to be managing a dedicated team some of whom have been in post since Atfield House opened in 1997.

On a personal level I have two children, three cats and have recently acquired a springer spaniel puppy called Ruby. Ruby will come to work with me. I unwind at weekends by going to the Stoop and cheering on Harlequins.

Carmen Bilbie

Deputy Manager

I started working in Atfield house in 2004 as a Carer, and was eventually promoted to General Nurse, Head of Unit and, finally, Deputy Manager. I consider Atfield to be one of the most welcoming and friendly homes. My role is to ensure that all residents receive the highest standard of care and always take into account personal wishes and requirements. I focus on delivering person-centred care to support residents in understanding the aging process, to maximize their independence, and create a safe, homely environment for everyone in the home. I offer support and guidance to all Nurses and Carers and work closely with external healthcare professionals.

I came here not knowing what to expect and I fell in love with the place and the people. I find it very rewarding to be a part of residents' lives and to help improve it. I've met some wonderful people and learnt a lot from them. Overall, I feel grateful for being here.
