Activities at Archview Lodge Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Diane Wood
Hi, my name is Diane and I am Head of Activities here at Archview. I have worked in the homes since 2009.
I strongly believe in creating moments for our residents and embracing their individuality with tailor made activities, whilst remaining person centred and respecting resident’s preferences. Every day I like to ensure the residents on memory lane can enjoy themselves and have a good time whilst forming bonds with each other and the staff around them.
Outside of work, I have a 23 years old son and a wee dog called Hugo and my ambition is to make people smile and be happy.

Life at Archview Lodge Care Home
Cupcake Day
We celebrated Cupcake Day on 14th June here at Archview Lodge. A few residents helped to make some beautiful cupcakes, including Margaret, who is pictured above.
Employee of the Month - May
Care Assistant, Margaret Fleming, was named as our Employee of the Month for May. Well done, Margaret!
Kid’s Zone!
We helped to raise some money for 11-year-old, Sophie Walker, who was diagnosed with Cancer. Our local nursery assisted us as well.
Nursery School Visit
Residents enjoyed an afternoon gardening with nursery children who regularly visit the home.
St Patrick's Day
To celebrate St Patrick's Day, we were visited by an Irish dancing group who showed off their best moves to residents. It was a great day and we hope to see them again next year.
Stars in Our Eyes
Every year, we host a 'Stars in Your Eyes' competition, where staff members get the opportunity to dress up and either sing or mime as their favourite singer or group.
Amy Campell was declared the winner with her rendition of 'The Wee Cock Sparra'.
