Activities at Adlington Manor Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Lynne Bowler
I joined the activities team at Adlington Manor in May 2017. Previously, I have worked as a tree surgeon and have had heavy involvement with the Guides and Brownies. I love participating in activities with residents, whether that's by driving the minibus on trips outside the home, or by engaging in themed days.
I am passionate about my role and especially the challenge of coming up with new ways to engage as many residents as possible in our activities here.

The Great North West Care Awards
Adlington Manor had 4 finalists at the Great North West Care Awards: Fiona Gough, Rowan Team, and Mike Nichols. Mike was our winner, and he won the Chef of the Year Category. He will move forward to the national finals in March 2017.
Pudsey Day
Folks at Adlington Manor did their bit for Children in Need by holding a 'Pudsey Day'. Every but if money raised was donated to the great cause.
Employee of the Month - November
Shana Burns was nominated by a relative because of the extreme care and compassion that was shown to her mother during an emergency hospital admission. The nurses in A&E compliment Shana on her knowledge of residents' needs.
Employee of the Month - October
Our Maintenance Manager, Chris Nevin and Mark Wilson, were nominated by a resident's relative. Congratulations to both, and thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
