Activities at Worplesdon View
The activities team at Worplesdon View organise and run activities and events for large groups, small groups and individual residents. We include relatives, volunteers and the remaining staff whenever possible and encourage choice and participation from everyone we support. Our programme is planned in advance and is is designed provide tailored, meaningful activities for residents to participate in that will stimulate all senses, whist encouraging mental and physical well-being. We have an activity plan for all residents, and of course, this changes with the needs of each person to keep it up-to-date and useful. Worplesdon View is a fun and dynamic place to live and work, and the secret to this is that everyone is encouraged to see activities as part of their role in the home so that residents are happy and always have something to do.

Life at Worplesdon View Care Home
Cathedral Trip
Our residents had a wonderful outing to the local Guildford Cathedral, where they were treated to a captivating performance by music students on flute, piano, and vocals. The beautiful classical pieces resonated through the cathedral, and we were all mesmerised, unable to stop listening to the enchanting music. We also got to try some organic dark chocolate provided by the Cathedral.
Garden Centre Trip
In Worplesdon View care home, our residents enjoyed a delightful visit to the Woking Garden Centre, exploring and smelling a variety of flowers. They also marvelled at the large carp in the pond. The day was perfectly capped off with a relaxing cup of coffee under the sun, making it a truly memorable outing.
Lest We Forget Charity Concert
We were honoured to host the 'Lest We Forget' charity concert, who performed our favourite classic tunes and war songs. With a full house in attendance, our residents were captivated by the music, and it was a truly enjoyable experience for everyone. We are incredibly grateful for their visit and will be waiting for a new date from them!
Enable Celebrations
This month, we proudly celebrated our transition to the new digital system called, 'Enable'! This innovative system will enhance our ability to deliver care more efficiently. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their hard work and mutual support as we enter a new era of person-centred care.
Not forgotten concert
We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Not Forgotten charity foundation for their incredible performance. With a full house in attendance, our residents thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Organized by our home ambassador, this special moment was deeply appreciated by everyone including residents and family members. We look forward to another charity concert in August!
Wimbledon Celebrations
Residents of Worplesdon View Care Home have enjoyed the Wimbledon finals while indulging in strawberries and cream they made themselves. The treat was perfectly complemented by some bubbly wine, creating a delightful experience. Everyone had a wonderful time watching the women’s and men’s matches and savouring their delicious home made desserts.
