Meet the Worplesdon View Care Home team
Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:
Hi, my name is Graham Allen and I am the Senior General Manager here at the Worplesdon View.
I have a wealth of commercial and operational experience gained across a wide variety of healthcare facilities, both in the UK and in my native South Africa. Most of my roles have had a strong operational and strategic focus, primarily in the private healthcare sector.
My name is Tanya. I have been at Barchester roughly 5 years now. I have worked at Worplesdon View Care Home since 2017 as a Deputy Manager.
My job is to ensure that every resident is safe, that they have been treated with respect and kindness.
My name is Megan and I joined the company in October 2020, and I am thoroughly enjoying my administrative and front of house role in not only supporting the management team, but in welcoming and greeting all visitors to the home. Building relationships with families, friends and our residents ensures my days are fulfilled and varied.
Ildie Ratz Kelemen
My name is Ildi and I’m one of the Unity Managers at Worplesdon View Care Home. My job as a unity manager is to make sure that our residents are safe, and cared for with respect.
I have a passion for caring for the elderly. I been working as a nurse for over 25 years and in the UK since 2009. It gives me great pleasure looking after our residents.
I have been a part of the Worplesdon View team for a long time. I started in reception, spent time as a Host, helped in housekeeping and eventually progressed to supporting the activities team. I am kept very busy making sure the residents are happy during their time at Worplesdon View.
I thoroughly enjoy talking to and spending time with all the residents, providing them with the best care and support possible. During my time here, I have built some lovely relationships with residents, learning what they like to do and how they like to do things.
I started here at Worplesdon View in 2021 and I really enjoy supporting, encouraging and engaging the residents so that they can have an enriched life during their time at the home.
Well-being is very important to me and I look forward to spending more time with the residents getting to know them and building some great relationships with them and their loved ones. I also look forward to keeping the residents active and participating in the life enrichment programme.
My name is Radu and I've worked for Barchester for over 5 years now, and I really enjoy it. I gain knowledge every day.
With many years of experience as a Head Chef and 3 decade in the catering industry, Steve brings quality and consistency to Worplesdon View.
Having always been passionate about food since he was a boy, working in his local chip shop and cooking at home, Steve decided to become a professional chef. He completed his City & Guild’s qualifications at the same time as working for Forte Crest Hotels, picking up some amazing skills along the way.
Steve proceeded to work at a number of restaurants, golf clubs, private schools, wedding venues, conference and training venues to gain experience in every area of the catering profession. After several years, he decided to set himself a new challenge to hone his pastry skills with an NVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery - Patisserie.
Steve wanted to give something back to the elderly, so he decided to look at Barchester care homes, specifically Worplesdon View, by using his skills, knowledge and talent to help give the residents something to look forward to each and every day.
Steve wants to make sure the residents are supported through a healthy range of options, while taking their preferences and opinions into account so they can enjoy their food experiences during this latter part of their life.
My name is Mark and I bring my skills as a school caretaker to Worplesdon View with me. I am the Maintenance Manager and I am responsible for the upkeep and safety of the building.
What I enjoy most about this role is helping residents settle into their rooms and personalising them. When possible, I like to help out the activities team and join in with the residents.
My name is Edita and I'm the Head Hostess at Worplesdon View Care Home. I've been working with Barchester Healthcare for over 3 years now. My roll as Head Hostess is to maintain the high standards of cleanliness, and create a welcome environment in the dining rooms, and also the communal areas for our residents.
I really enjoy my job and everything that comes with it. At Worplesdon View Care Home we are like a big family, and that is one of the things that I like most.
I have worked here for a long time and was promoted to Head Housekeeper in 2021. My main priority is to make sure all residents are living in a clean, tidy and safe environment. I enjoy getting to know the residents and always spend time chatting where possible while completing my daily tasks.
