Activities at Worplesdon View

The activities team at Worplesdon View organise and run activities and events for large groups, small groups and individual residents. We include relatives, volunteers and the remaining staff whenever possible and encourage choice and participation from everyone we support. Our programme is planned in advance and is is designed provide tailored, meaningful activities for residents to participate in that will stimulate all senses, whist encouraging mental and physical well-being. We have an activity plan for all residents, and of course, this changes with the needs of each person to keep it up-to-date and useful. Worplesdon View is a fun and dynamic place to live and work, and the secret to this is that everyone is encouraged to see activities as part of their role in the home so that residents are happy and always have something to do.

Life at Worplesdon View Care Home

Church Service

The local Worplesdon Church visits regularly to hold uplifting services for the residents and even family members. Group prayers bring everyone together, while one-to-one room services are offered for those who request a personal touch. At Worplesdon View, we ensure that everyone’s spiritual needs are met, fostering peace and comfort within our community.

Singing and Moving

Becky visits Worplesdon View Care Home once a month, filling the care home with residents' favourite music beats. Her energetic sessions blend exercise with joy, encouraging everyone to move, stretch, and sing along. With her guidance, the residents sway to the rhythm, smiling as they reconnect with memories through song and gentle movement.

Tap Dancing Performance

Katie, a lively tap dancer, visited Worplesdon View Care Home to showcase her dazzling skills. With rhythmic beats echoing through the halls, she captivated residents with her energy. Katie even taught them some classic 60s dance moves, sparking laughter and joy as everyone joined in, tapping and singing to the music together.

Ukulele’s Performance

We always look forward to the ukulele group's visits—they never fail to bring joy to our home! This time, a full group of musicians treated us to our favourite old tunes and melodies, and we had a full house in attendance. The atmosphere was wonderfully musical as we joined in, singing along and creating a truly lively experience.

Sport Session

At Worplesdon View Care Home, we love to stay active! This month, we welcomed "Sport4Life," who led us in exciting activities like frisbee, volleyball, and throwing practice. Everyone had a fantastic time, and we’re thrilled they'll be returning monthly to keep us moving and energized. Looking forward to next time!

Summer Fair

We had a fantastic time at our annual Summer Fair! With perfect weather, we enjoyed delicious ice cream, freshly grilled burgers, fun games with prizes, and adorable animal visits. Daniel and Becky kept us entertained with their singing and dancing. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for such an unforgettable day!
