Activities at Wimborne Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Zoe Freeman
I have been working in care since 2019 and love the industry. I came from working on cruise ships and running events and activities there which has set me up to be a successful activities coordinator in care. You will never see me without a smile on my face and always bring my fun and bubbly personality to my job. My favourite part of my job is making people cheerful and help make their wishes come true to show people that age is just a number and we can have fun no matter what!

Life at Wimborne Care Home
We Can See the Sea
The Wimborne Womble Group visited the beautifully scenic local sea front. After admiring the view, residents made a pit stop at JR’s Diner to cool off with an ice cream.
Morning Sun
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, residents spent the rest of the morning basking in the glorious sunshine whilst reminiscing about what mischief they used to cause during the school holidays.
Long Service Award
Wimborne is very proud to celebrate with Administrator, Susan, who has been at Wimborne for 10 years now. Susan received a lovely bouquet of flowers from the General Manager and all the staff, in addition to a Long Service Award from Barchester. The staff and residents said a huge thank you to Susan for all of her hard work. Here’s to many more years with her.
Friday Celebrations
We had a lovely coffee morning enjoying madeira & carrot cake, which residents made during Kitchen Corner. The lovely and very talented, Lyndsey Walker, spent the afternoon singing a variety of songs from across the decades - and then it was flakes 99 all round!
Knit & Knatter Group
Residents have been knitting scarfs for our outside gardens and courtyards to give them an all-round burst of colour and vitality. The scarfs can now be admired with a cup of tea and a slice of yummy cake.
Wimborne Womble
Now that the sunny weather has finally arrived, the Wimborne Womble group enjoyed an outing to Lakeside Resort to see the local wild bird life. Residents were luckily enough to see the new arrivals of cygnets being fed by Mum & Dad.
