As an visitor to the various veterans events, such as the Breakfast Butty Club, the interaction with the residents and the staff has been very welcoming. Being a veteran myself I have found it very interesting to hear the stories the residents have to tell.

Have just come from a talk at Wimbourne Care Home on Hayling Island, what a lovely place it is, staff so accommodating and friendly.
The talk was from the fire service telling you all about the hazards that can happen in the home and advising on how to avoid them, it was so informative.
If you ever get the chance to visit one of their events don't miss it, you even get tea/coffee and homemade cake. THANK YOU

Hi, I recently visited the care home to deliver some hand crochet shawls for all the ladies. My friend Nikki Sheperd is working there and Introduced me to the staff and the ladies. I also know Gracie as she is my neighbour. What a lovely warm welcome and a beautiful place. I have driven past many times and wondered what it was like. So light and airy and calm colours. The rooms were absolutely lovely with beautiful gardens I was so impressed! Everyone was having a good time and the staff were tentative

"The staff are always helpful & friendly on the phone and in person. We have over an hours travel to the Wimborne care home and are always assured of a smiling welcome. The residents are usually engaged in activities and although our relative doesn't get too involved, they are happy & content to watch television and occasionally interact with other residents. They also enjoy excursions in the mini bus and always praise the food provided."

A lovely care home. My mum Elizabeth's life with Alzheimer's has been transformed by the atmosphere and activity there. It is a pleasure to visit, like she is staying in a very comfortable hotel with friendly guests and dedicated staff. I also know that if she has problems the team there will look after her exceptionally well. Thank you all :-).

"During every visit to see my father all of the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful. There seem to be many activities organised to entertain the residents. The garden areas are lovely places to sit when the weather is fine."

What a lovely place, the staff are fantastic & unlike other care homes … they take their residents on excursions including motorcycle evenings, boat trips & beach walks. Plus they have groups come to them & even do a veterans breakfast so guests have enjoyable chats. Highly recommended.

"I have been visiting a friend (age 93) who has recently become a resident at Wimborne. The staff are welcoming, the home very clean and comfortable. The food, so my friend says, is excellent and allows a lot of choice. She is also impressed by the activities on offer everyday and she is looking forward to going out on a trip to."

When I visited Wimborne to assess it for care for my mum I was very impressed with the warm friendly atmosphere. Being there day in day out I saw the residents being well cared for and it is very clear that the team all love their jobs and go above and beyond they are so welcoming. This shows in the care the residents receive, it is excellent. Zoe the activities coordinator has so much enthusiasm and zest for life it’s hard not to enjoy everything she does. Sarah the manager is warm approachable and exceptional in leading the home. I Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Activities are many and varied and the posts of social media (which is where I can see pictures of the resident and their activities) fill me and my family with confidence and the residents care and that they are being looked after."

"My mum has now spent just over a year at Barchester Wimborne Care Home. We as a family can not fault the care and support she receives from every single member of staff. From admin, housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, carers and management. Everyone has their role in looking after my mum and they have all become like extended family. The food is excellent, all the organised activities are brilliant and go above and beyond my expectations, love being involved myself when I can. The home itself is always clean and well maintained.
