Activities at Waterside Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Hi, my name is Blerta. I am the Activities Coordinator here at Waterside Court. I joined the team in February 2024.
I absolutely love my role, and I'm passionate about creating meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of our residents.
Every day is different, and our life enrichment program brings out my creative side, which I share with everyone.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Mocktail Making Class
We held a Mocktail Making session in our Activities café, the residents thoroughly enjoyed it, we had so much fun and full of laughter.
Happy Easter!
All our residents got Easter Eggs delivered to them in the morning as well as a fun Easter Egg hunt with all the kids who joined us in this fun festive day.
A great Session of Arts and Crafts making Easter Cards! And Easter Bonnet decorating, so much fun and laughter during these sessions. The bonnets were so cute and creative.
Being Creative!
Brilliant art work from everyone that joined in for our Still Art Class.. everyone who joined was so creative and coordinated, the results were amazing.
St Patrick's Day
We celebrated St Patrick's Day with some Irish Dancing! These young performers were wonderful and the residents couldn't stop talking about it!
Seated Pilates
A fun Seated Pilates Session with our lovely Lesley, its good to keep moving and staying Active!
Pictionary
It was a good, fun and full of laughter playing Pictionary, everyone was so good at this game. Residents, staff and visitors spent over an hour playing this! Thank you to everyone for jumping in to draw for us, you were fantastic!
