Activities at Waterside Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Blerta Cesula
Hi, my name is Blerta. I am the Activities Coordinator here at Waterside Court. I joined the team in February 2024.
I absolutely love my role, and I'm passionate about creating meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of our residents.
Every day is different, and our life enrichment program brings out my creative side, which I share with everyone.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Waterside Court Care Home

It wouldn't be Christmas without Disney
This week we had a Disney Day with a brilliant music performance by the favourite duo King & Rackham.
They played Disney themed Christmas songs and our staff where dressed for the occasion.
Everyone had a great time and it surly brought back lots of memories.

Lest we Forget
Today residents at Waterside Court shared very touching stories and memories as we remember the servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives in conflict, especially during the First and Second World Wars.
On this very important day in our calendar everybody reflected on their war experiences.
It was a very sombre occasion for everyone present as residents showed pictures and items from the war expressing what this meant to them. "Lest we forget"

Halloween Party at Waterside
We had a fantastic Halloween Costume Competition which brought a lot of fun with our residents judging the competition. Our team members pulled all the stops to win.
To top the day, we also celebrated a 'Halloween Birthday' for Kitty. Happy Birthday Kitty and we all wish you many more.

Hadden Hill Golf Course
Here at Waterside Court, we are very privileged to be having one of our residents who designed the Hadden Hill Golf Course which was built to the highest specification. Today was a very special day as we visited the golf course with some of our residents accompanied by Mr Morley himself and what a legend he is.
We all had fun hitting the ball on the drive, and topped of the day with a cuppa and yummy cake!!
Thank you very much, Mike and Barbara for your hospitality. Everyone really had a great time!

National Coffee Day
Our Bistro and coffee area was buzzing as usual!
What a lovely weekend we had, as we celebrated National Coffee Day!
Our home manager was on hand making speciality coffees for everyone to try. These went down a treat!

Cherished festivals in Indian culture
We had an amazing Saturday here at Waterside Court, celebrating Onam, one of the most cherished festivals in Indian culture.
An incredible event that brought us all together, a day full with lots of activities and entertainment, with a special festival dance from the team and a taste of the authentic Indian cuisine prepared by our very own staff.
Our cultural traditions, language and experiences are the foundations upon which we build our identity. Through promoting this in our home we'll have a positive impact on our own health and well-being as well as the people we care for.
