We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Cholsey Community Choir Concert
We'd like to send a big THANK YOU to the members of Cholsey Community Choir who came into Waterside Court yesterday to entertain our residents and staff with their 'Christmas Concert'.
Filled with beautiful vocal melodies your songs brought back so many happy memories. Merry Christmas from the Waterside family.
It's a Dogs Life!
The power of pet therapy is easy to see when Mike brings Monty into see everyone at Waterside Court. This little chap loves receiving cuddles and treats, our residents can't resist him.
Birthday Wishes for Josephine
Please join us in wishing 'Happy Birthday' to our lovely Josephine who turned 94 years old on Monday. She's been feeling a little under-the-weather recently and didn't want a fuss preferring to stay wrapped up warm in her PJs for the day!
And why not... it is your birthday.
Josephine had a wonderful bedroom based birthday party with her resident friend, and the care team visiting throughout the day. Josephine is an avid knitter and loves a good old natter, she loved her homemade daisy cake and sharing it with all her visitors.
Gingerbread House
This week's bakery club was Christmas themed with the group making a Gingerbread House. They had such a good time working together on the mixture and creating each panel. We look forward to seeing the final masterpiece once assembled and decorated in sugar icing and all things sweet
Happy Birthday 'Pretty in Pink' Rosemary
One of our favourite young at heart residents, Rosemary is an enthusiastic and vocal Armchair Zumba fan, who always sings along to STU Fitness playlist keeping up with every move! Her party was full of friends and family on Sunday with party food and fun for all. It was lovely to be able to host such a special day.
Happy Birthday 'Norma;
Well it's been a busy 'Birthday Sunday'. Please join us in saying a very 'Happy Birthday' to Norma!
With visits from her family and fellow residents throughout the day, Norman had a lovely time and enjoyed sharing her birthday cake with everyone. Norma's favourite activity is having help with her daily newspaper crossword which even on her birthday she didn't miss.
