Activities at Tennyson Wharf Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Donna Jones

Donna joined the Tennyson Wharf Family in April 2023.

As an Activities Coordinator, Donna helps to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active to keep residents engage. The team take time to ensure they all know each residents' interests so that the team can deliver a person-centered program of events and activities. 

Donna has a passion for helping others and is settling into her new role great!

Residents at Tennyson Wharf enjoyed a friendly game of bowls. Everyone’s a winner for taking part.

Garden Club

Beatrice is over 101 years old and still enjoys all aspects of life at Tennyson Wharf, especially our regular 'gardening club'.

The sun was shining down on the beautiful gardens at Tennyson Wharf, which are enjoyed all year round by our residents.

Badminton

Pete our 96 year old resident was back to winning ways at Badminton and is having great fun at Tennyson Wharf as usual.

Garden Visits

It was all smiles at Tennyson Wharf as it opened it's doors to family and friends of relatives this weekend with garden visits. Everyone was kept safe as the 2m social distancing rule was maintained.

Knit and Natter

It was all smiles as residents enjoyed their weekly Knit & Natter get together at Tennyson Wharf in our lovely cafe area.
