Activities at Tennyson Wharf Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Activity Box

One of our residents 'Indira'  just received her new activity box which has been devised specifically for her likes and interests. It has a large sketch book, pencils, quizzes, trivia and even simplified tapestry projects. She was so happy with her new box of tricks.

My Back Garden

We entered our resident Peter on behalf of Tennyson Wharf for BBC's One show's Chelsea garden competition called  “my back garden”. Pictures speak a thousand words and shows how the simple things in life are most poignant, beautiful and rewarding.

Residents enjoyed VE celebrations at Tennyson Wharf. The staff also went the extra mile by dressing up in 1940s attire to add to the day. The flags were flying high.
