Activities at Station Court Care Home
Activities make up the most important part of all our days, and at Station Court we ensure there are a variety of social events that reflect the individual interests and capabilities of people we support. All group and individual activities are designed to not only mentally and physically stimulate the people we care for, but to enhance their life skills and feelings of purpose and self worth. All of our team are committed to supporting a full activities programme within the home.

Hi, my name is Carly and I am the homes Activities Coordinator. I joined the home in 2011. I am passionate about our enhancing our residents daily life and delivering a person centred life enrichment activity programme is very important to me to ensure that our residents continue to lead fulfilling lives doing things that they want to and enjoy. Our programme is varied from excursions out on the mini bus ensuring our residents are connected to their local community, hosting events here in the home, virtual events and themed days – no day is the same!

Life at Station Court Care Home
Birthday Celebrations
This month residents put on their blue suede shoes and celebrated Joan’s 80th birthday! With Mike Memphis, number one Elvis impersonator, in the north east & his show girl! We danced, ate a birthday cake and lots of party food. Everyone toasted to the birthday lady with a glass of champagne.
Blyth Coast
Our residents thoroughly enjoyed a sunny day at the seaside in Blyth. Everyone visited the coastline restaurant for the best fish & chips in town and also for a delicious ice cream afterwards. At the end of the day we all had a walk down the promenade.
Our Divisional Winner
Well done to Bobeslaw Mielnik, who was named as a Divisional Winner in the 'Maintenance Champion' category for the 2019 Barchester Care Awards.
Easter Celebrations
Residents had an egg-cellent time at our Easter fun day, with lots of cakes, chocolate eggs and children and grandchildren visiting us to join in an egg hunt.
Mother's Day
All our ladies thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day-themed afternoon tea party, with Koast Radio joining us to air from the home!
We Are a 'Top 20' Care Home!
We are delighted to announce that Station Court has been named as one of the top 20 care homes in North East England by carehome.co.uk. A huge congratulations to everyone who has made this possible!
