Meadow Park Care Home in Bedlington
Meadow Park is a purpose-built home offering 24-hour residential care to older people, including people living with dementia. We're located in Bedlington, near to both Newcastle and Morpeth and close to the coast, too. We have our own gardens, which many residents help care for.
Meadow Park has a dedicated Memory Lane Community that provides a safe, homely environment for people living with dementia, which has been designed following these guidelines ensuring the care we provide supports residents’ freedom of choice. We aim to maintain their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence while they are living with us.
Staff undertake specialist dementia care training developed by our team of Dementia Care Specialists and academic partners, the Centre for Dementia Research at Leeds Beckett University. Together they ensure our training programmes are informed by the very latest thinking. We ensure that the people we support feel comfortable and safe in their surrounding environment, helping ensure they live life with dementia to the full.
Choosing a care home for a loved one or friend who may be experiencing dementia can be difficult and we have created a guide to showcase how we ‘Enrich the lives of people living with dementia’ in our care home.
Our approach to care is based on a right to dignity, choice and independence. Every resident has a care plan, which records needs, likes and dislikes. It forms the basis for planning mealtimes so that everyone gets what they most like to eat, for individual and group activities and for helping sustain social lives. Residents and relatives are at the centre of the care planning process, which is reviewed at least monthly, and a nominated key worker helps to ensure that residents and families have someone they know they can turn to for advice and help.
It’s always best to visit yourself and come to your own conclusions: we welcome visitors and calls.

Hi, my name is Vicky and am the general manager here at Meadow Park. Welcome to our website!
I am proud to say that I have been in the care sector for many years, starting as a care assistant and developing my knowledge and skills to become a deputy manager, before taking on the role of general manager here.
Meadow Park is very special to me, as I have evolved and grown in the various roles, learned a lot about myself personally and I am incredibly proud of the team that works around me—we are a strong team.
I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience about the home and I continue to develop through formal qualifications, learning new things on a daily basis.
I am very passionate about my job and strive on ensuring all of the residents are safe and happy within our home. I will continue to work hard in every aspect of my job role to improve the standards of high quality care within our home.Get in touch Meet my team
